The Alabama Secretary of State in Montgomery issues apostilles to public and private documents bearing the:
Signature and embossed raised seal of Catherine Molchan Donald, or the current Alabama State Registrar and director of Center for health Statistics.
Signature of a Probate Judge.
Signature of a Circuit Clerk.
Signature and seal of an Alabama public notary in good standing.
If your document bears the signature of Dorothy S Harshbarger it will not be acceptable for apostille.
Each individual document that has been notarized must have a Notary County Certification issued by the County Clerk Recorder.
Apostille and Exemplified duplicates of vital records can be requested with certain limitations by: person named on the document, mother or father, husband or wife, children or siblings.
